One of the standouts in my collection, start to finish raw White Stripes goodness. Very fortunate to have this one

Just once I wish I could get an LP from United, which is pressed with some degree of comepetence. After three attempts I managed to get a copy which sounded ok but had more manufacturing flaws then you could wave a stick at.
Togar
How is the pressing on this? I just found out it was pressed at United Pressing and I've had some real issues with records from them in the past. Anyone have any issues with this copy?
The Sinners from Mitar
Does anyone know if this is the same music found on the various unofficial BBC Sessions LP's, like: https://www.discogs.com/White-Stripes-BBC-Sessions/release/6032921
Hunaya
Yes - they were recorded for a UK radio show.
Mash
This record is must own for any White Stripes fan.
Phain
label C on the red vinyl wasn't glued flat on my copy
Bajinn
Welcome to the fantastical world of United Record Pressing! a

Finally had a a couple hours to listen to this release I was able to get on RSD 2016. To my dismay, the album I purchased came sealed with two copies of the album number 2 (red vinyl), and no album number 1 (white vinyl) in it. I don't see any other responses from anyone else this has happened to, and I don't see any information on this specific packaging error. Anyone else out there get two copies of disc 1 or disc 2? I'm assuming my copy of the white vinyl is out there somewhere. :)
Rocksmith
I just opened my copy and it only has a single copy of disc 1 and no disc 2.
Whiteseeker
Just a packing era from the plant, nothing special about it.
Nargas
As an update, dealing with Third Man Records (the label for this release) was a dream. Contacted them and explained the situation above. They asked for the double copy I received, shipped it out, and within a week they sent me out the white vinyl I was missing. Top notch service in my book.
Llanonte
Missing the red disc and no download card. Should I return it?
Xtani
I just opened my sealed copy to find no disc 1 and a single copy of disc 2. Pretty disappointing
Fordrelis
Same here. I´ll try to survive. Can´t make any promises though...
Clandratha
Well, I got both discs but mine also came with a packaging error. Both inner sleeves are for Vol. II. I think I can live with it though.
Bliss
Street date for Canada changed to May 6th at distributors, so probably more copies to come.

Not sure why the prices are so high. I imagine it is not that limited and there will also be a standard black vinyl released later. My local store just got some more in and you can buy it through bull moose for under $28.
Gold Crown
The prices have gone down significantly, even on here. The first one went up for $100 but now the lowest is just over $30. I hedged my bets and pre-ordered from a few different sources with the plan of cancelling them as soon as one was shipped - yesterday 3 got sent out before I had a chance to cancel the others. I really don't think it's that limited, certainly the least limited White Stripes "Limited Edition" I've come across anyway.
Nilabor
I got this record a day before RSD on Melody Supreme. Think they might be sold out now, but I'm glad I grabbed one.
Washington
Anyone know what this is limited to? My guess is something like 2000?
Tantil
I Think it has to be a lot more than 2,000 based on the number of restocks. I'd bet 5,000

Volume 1 sounds amazing, Jack and Meg at their best. Especially compared to their earlier days at the gold dollar and most other live albums, it sounds perfect. The guitar is beautiful and clear even when it's dirty and Jack's singing was at the level of the album recordings. The set list is special too, I've never heard Boll Weevil played so beautifully and Baby Blue is just a fucking special recording. Volume 2 sounds like they were maybe being overworked, jack was having trouble singing, the sound quality is closer to their live in Tokyo release. The voice overpowers the mix and the guitar is trying to elbow it's way in, maybe the amp wasn't the one Jack was used to using. The best part of volume 2 is the set list. "I Think I Smell a Rat" was the most vicious song in the set, you can hear Jack venting some of his frustration with the situation in that one. And of course Meg, she's always perfect.
Bluecliff
Yeah, 100% agree. The sound on the 2nd disc set is really lackluster compared to the first. The guitar completely fades out of the mix when the cymbals are crashing or the vocals are decently loud. It starts getting laughable during the "Goin' Back To Memphis" solos, and continues from there. Still worth it, but primarily for the masterpiece that is disc 1.

For Europe, I saw it on Newonvinyl.com in the Netherlands. Does someone have experience with this seller ?
Ffel
Yeah I've bought records by them for two years without problems.
The_NiGGa
Mine arrived in the UK from NewOnVinyl fine a few days ago :)

I ordered from New On Vinyl this morning. I've read good things (although it's usually a bit expensive with shipping to me so I haven't ordered from them before but I don't really care for this). I will let you know how it goes.Update: It's now Sold Out on NewOnVinyl - I hope this means they could fulfil the orders made before. Still says awaiting shipment, although nowhere in Paris has received their copies yet so I expect it's the same for Netherlands. We shall see.

For anyone that missed out on Sirendisc or Sound Stage Direct, Turntable lab is taking orders now too: http://www.turntablelab.com/products/the-white-stripes-the-complete-peel-sessions-bbc-colored-vinyl-vinyl-2lp

Just grabed it, many thanks for the info. Death to flippers!
