Lovely album, the shades of baroque pop, gospel and soul that are woven together in these songs works fantastically and suits Josiah's vocals quite well! This pressing is a beautiful solid yellow colour and the lithograph included with the preorder was a nice addition as well. The sound quality of the record is fine, however there was some noticeable surface noise in the quieter sections, particularly at the beginning and end of each side. I have a feeling some of this noise would've been less noticeable if I hadn't needed to turn the volume on the amplifier up so high to achieve a good listening volume. I also found the bass to be a bit thin-sounding, certainly thinner sounding than the digital version. In fact, the master on this pressing feels generally a bit flat compared to the digital master. Don't get me wrong, the sound quality of this pressing certainly isn't bad once you turn the gain up, it's just unfortunate that doing so does result in some audible noise and reveals the pressing to be less than stellar.
