Voodoo Muzak - Hirnschrei FLAC download

Side one - "Hirschri" - is a typical VOODOO MUZAK track, although the mix is a little more mild. It's a slow, plodding thing, yet full of black-leather-and-silver-spikes depth - the guitarist seems to have created an amorphous mass of guitar energy while the drummer hits the skins with abattoir complacency, and the vocalist shouts like a man drowning, caught in the undertow of savage noise. "Creatures", the 'B' side is a little faster and perhaps more like VOODOO MUZAK's album tracks with twists and turns aplenty. There are elements of BIRTHDAY PARTY, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART and early eighties Punk.Originally reviewed for Soft Watch.
