Notes
MPL Presents Paul McCartney and Wings Rockshow.Paul McCartney and Wings live on stage in a concert that is destined to live forever. Twenty Three songs from Wings and their best in concert, on video, at last.
In 1976 Wings undertook an epic world tour which brought their music to a live audience of two million people in ten countries, an experience captured on the Wings Over America triple album. The climax of that tour was the incredible performance of the mammoth King Dome in Seattle, Washington, where a staggering 67,000 fans listened to Wings perform some of their greatest songs including: Venus & Mars, Band on the Run, Let Me Roll It, Jet, Bluebird, Maybe I'm Amazed and Yesterday.
This remarkable concert has been brought to life in this memorable film made by MPL Communications and edited by Robin Clarke and Paul Stein. One of its unique aspects concerns the precision and quality of its sound. The amplification system used was the first of its kind, being capable of 15,000 watts, compared with previous systems of only 1,000 watts. The lighting is also superb, and combined with the use of lasers gives probably the most remarkable visual effect ever seen at a concert.
All told there were over one hundred people on the road with Wings: sound and lighting people, the band's own staff, management and promoter's personnel and even a permanent piano tuner. Each and every one of them combine to make ROCKSHOW the best rock and roll concert video on the market.
