What a record this is. I personally think of it as the spiritual heir to "Ocean Rain," or at least a worthy successor in the line of Liverpool psychedelic pop. It is a masterpiece, a tragically obscure masterpiece.

The vinyl version first appeared in 1999.

Amazing album, so full of nuances, a human attempt to recreate the intricacies and natural delicate shifts of light and shadow in a specific late-afternoon hazy sun, or maybe an angle of rain against an old second-story window. The song "Stranger" is one of the best songs I have ever heard. Like The Stone Roses and The Stranglers shaking hands, seated outside at a Parisian café in 1964. Worth noting: this album was intended to be released in 1991 or 1992, but the master tapes were lost in the boot of a taxicab, and the studio burned to the ground. Only years later were the tapes recovered, and the album was finally released.
