Today I picked up a copy of this record (I have bought loads of copies since it came out) and inside the sleeve was an XL Recordings poster. It measures approximately 48.5 x 70 centimeters so full sized poster. I knew some copies of this record contained a poster but were pretty much 'pot luck'. If your interested the poster is in the 'more images' section. As for the review by Johnmarcus he's nailed it! That bassline was never heard until this tune came along. And to be honest, has never been bettered since! Watch ya bass bins? Too late mate they have just melted! INTRODUCING THE BURBLER Oooo weee weeeee yeahhhh!

Huge Tune back in it's day driving Techno that rocked most of the dance floors back in 91.Vicious Mix is more of the full on of the mixes, dropping straight into the main riff, then into the deep gravelly bass, followed by the huge rave stabs and strong percussive beats. The track morphs and inter-plays these elements along with the vocal to create one full on monster of a tune.Curved Mix takes more of a house vibe and plays more on the bass, percussion and overall is more stripped back creating a very different feel to the track. One of my favorite tunes of all time, as it brings back a lot of happy memories.

Heavily rotated by (Manchester's) IBC Radio in the summer of 1991 (though only Homeboy JuJu played the Vicious Mix: Andy Richards and Autechre stuck to the other three), and it's easy to see why. Absolutely at the forefront of the stellar burst of techno that year; playing the Belgians at their own game - and winning. Those bass lines and synths (Vicious is an apposite name) make it obvious why 'massive' was the buzz word of the time.
