It is definitely a nice alternative when you miss Goldfrapp main albums! Two Extra new singles will probably conviced you to have it in you collection. Such a shame it does not exist on LP.

Are two new tracks worth the price of an album. With most 'greatest hits' or 'singles' compilations, the answer is usually a resounding no. But Goldfrapp gets a special dispensation. Over the course of five albums, they've created some pitch-perfect pop in a number of different genres, from spooky, cinematic downtempo to dirty, grinding club beats. Though the track selections always raise questions (why "Train" instead of "Twist"? why "Believer" instead of "Alive"? why not "Pilots" at all?), it's still a lovely representation of their back catalogue. On the two new tracks, "Yellow Halo," seems to hint at a new orchestral direction for the duo, less upbeat than the majority of their work, but once again putting the vocals in the center of the composition, while "Melancholy Sky" builds quietly, accompanied by a majestic panoply of instruments. Worth it? Yes, definitely.
