Abul Mogard - Works FLAC download

Bought the black reissue. Not too many noise issues except a few clicks during the quiet passages. Good bass response and not overwhelming, but poor high end response but this might be a pressing issue and not a mastering issue. Also, no download code for wav or aiff files for an album that costs $30.00, this is unacceptable (c'mon indy labels, get it togethert!!!). The cover is way too tight to hold two albums and an insert comfortably and I have mine all sitting separately inside an archival vinyl sleeve. This album as well as the other Abul Mogard releases desperately need CD reissues mastered by good mastering engineers, otherwise, Bandcamp is the way to go from now on.

the digital sounds better than the vinyl? If so, is it glaringly so?

Somebody has the same issue with this edition? A lot of clicks and pops all over the record.

Same for me plays pretty bad actually, I told Boomkat they did not care much actually...

Mine plays pretty quiet, so bad luck with that. The only issue I have is the one I have with all 'gold' coloured vinyl: that ain't gold bruv.

Amazing ! Still available at Boomkat for 16£ and sharks already selling for 50£ ...

19£ basic edition, but I agree with you, great album for the price.

What a record. What a selection of pure sound. I'm really happy that some of Abul Mogard's old stuff is finally released on vinyl. It could have been more copies though :-)

Best ambient I have heard for a while. It's a deepdive into dark, cold soundscapes with hidden spots of comfort. Dissociative stuff

The music is fantastic, there's nothing more to say. Unfortunately, side A is suffering from a great deal of distortion during loud passages and loud clicks and pops throughout, a problem often seen with colour vinyl. Boomkat, amazing as they are, offered a free replacement. PS: This is still available on the boomkat website in limited numbers, so don't go for these ridiculous prices listed on here. These folks are killing music.

Still this issue on the 2018 new version. Mine is gold.

I got the grey issue and the sound is fine. No distortion, no clicks.

I got my free replacement from Boomkat. The distortion is gone, there are still rare passages with loud clicks, however it's not bothering me any more. On both copies it was mostly the only the first track affected, which is weird. In any case, this second copy sounds fantastic and the album is a beautiful menace.

I have the black vinyl copy and it's also filled with clicks and pops all over it. I commented on the issue on the release page as well, I thought this new edition would be of better quality but I guess the problems remain.

And was your replacement free from the issues that the first copy had?

Any idea why the opaque grey vinyl limited edition is not on Discogs?

Has there ever been another version of this release? Does a black version exist? If so, it's actually the black on which is missing.

My sealed copy came with lots of crack noises and pops which is a shame since it's an amazing release. I'll buy another one if it turns out to be an isolated problem. Can someone confirm on this issue? Try B3 and let me know, Thanks!

I got the opaque-grey version and it's perfect. No noises, no non-fill patterns.

I don't have any non-fill patterns. just random clicks all over all sides. Do you have the new grey copy or the black one? Prices went insane already (for an unreliable pressing) so I guess I'm stuck with what I have.

My copy is littered with non-fill. Numerous instances on side one.

I do not have any of these issues on my copy. This happens to me occasionally as well on new vinyl. It's very frustrating.
