How does this version sound? I have an original DMM US pressing, which I love to play, but I don't want to wear it out if I don't have to ;)
Arlana
Dynamically, this pressing is amazing. The horns are crystal clear and full. If you are looking for an affordable pressing of this album, this appears to be the winner.
Otrytrerl
Stellar sounding reissue here. Nothing bad to say about this one. Full, spacious sound. Dead quiet press. Great sonics for a great price.

This seems to be exactly the same record as this one: The Replacements - Pleased To Meet Me.

Yellow is the first pressing. Green is the ones after that.
Stanober
I got this Canadian pressing on Sire, label is W1 25557 with no barcode on the back. This version doesn't seems to be here... Any help?
Malarad
I have two first 1st edition copies. One cover is a very light green/yellow (similar to photos), one is green. Does anyone know how the cover color variation was determined for this release?
Justie
With printed innersleeve

I'm almost certain I have a US original pressing and my copy is Green, not like the yellow reissued version. Any assistance is appreciated.

Please update. This was released in 2008.

Of their seven albums this is my favorite. Notorious for having more bad shows than good, because of being too drunk to play, when they did play live it was told to be amazing. They seemed to play well enough in the studio. Pleased to Meet Me only selling less than 350,000 copies is their more mainstream album than Tim or Let It Be. I hate to make the comparison to the Clash's London Calling but I will in the sense of the different musical genres crossed from track to track. But, they will never be as important as the quartet from the UK the boys from Minneapolis know how to play. My two favorite tracks are: Alex Chilton, with the lyrics, "If he died in Memphis that'd be cool" and Can't Hardly Wait, which will forever be remembered as the title of that crappy 90s movie, has the great lyric,"Jesus rides beside/But he never buys any smokes."
Zulkigis
Totally agree with you. I've seen a few shows and you never knew what to expect. Of coarse I was drunk as well. Those where the days. This is my favorite album as well. I like them all, but this seemed to be the best time of their career.
