This is a very two-faced record. Side A is at least for me a really, really, really incredibly boring and dull romantic kind of chanson thing. One might think, "Oh my goodness, how could someone actually enjoy anything by Solange?" Well, I do. I love Il Mio Treno La Mia Ferrovia by him. That is probably the only other track besides the side B of this record that I do indeed enjoy by this artist. That is where the point of my review here comes in. I actually quite like the sound of Palline Colorate. As for whatever the lyrics are: Well, I don't speak Italian really for one (apart from a few words here and there) and two, the lyrics wouldn't necessarily matter to me anyway. The sound is continuing to retain the same qualities that I liked so much about his release on Disco In with those very cheapo synths and little twinkly stuff. He doesn't sing this time though, it's more just spoken word which subtracts a few points for me because his voice (even though it isn't exactly good when he sings) is kinda not the best this way. This isn't So much Italo-Disco sounding, but maybe more with a kind of early 80s New Wave sound in some regards. Overall, side B is really not such a bad song in my opinion. It would have been nice if he had done more songs like this and Il Treno La Mia Ferrovia. I know Solange is not exactly "well liked", but just because a guy puts out loads of stuff people hate doesn't necessarily mean he can't have a few enjoyable tracks and again, this is just all my own opinion. As I've said before, music (like most forms of art) is more subjective than anything else.
