i love this record. just bought it today at audio-in in berlin. really lovely ambient compositions on top of the dancefloor friendly tracks. classic ian pooley.

This LP for me is a great look into the beginnings of Ian Pooley's evolution. While it may sound 'dated' as it's oldschool acid house / tech house, if listened to as part of the history of Ian's work as a whole, it shows that even back then he was moving in a direction others had only hoped to achieve. Less is often more with his works, combining subtle synth lines over sweet grooves that end up creating a great deep house vibe in most of his later releases. It's an LP that any fan of Ian Pooley's work shouldn't miss. It's insight into what has come and a look back at what is the root of his signature style and sound now. A few of the tracks are nice and very ambient in nature, while others are very repetative and have a few semi-annoying sounds throughout them. All in all, it's a good listen and i dig it for what it is...

I'm surprised by the low grade this album has received. I thought that this was quite a brave and pleasant album to listen to. Sure it's not as classic as Celtic Cross, or Rollerskate Disco, but it's pretty good home listening techno with a few "dancefloor" moments thrown in for good measure
