This is one of the noisiest pressings that I own. Did a heavy duty cleaning and there are still crackles and pops all over the thing. A real disappointment

Got mine a couple days ago, 16 days prior to release date for some reason. It sounds AMAZING. So clean and tight with rich bass. The 45rpm really helps.

well, to my ears and my LP12 this pressing sounds better than the OG - and yes I have both. so maybe that's why?

Escape from the noise of the city into a glass bubble. This is Hex. Incredible debut of a young London band (disappeared from the scenes for 10 years after this album!) that explores space between sounds with mature sensibility. Hex is ambitious, sophisticated and intellectual art rock, without any complexity. Someone called it “post rock”, because of its capacity to extend rock boundaries to a flexible and liquid form, with melancholic jazz moments, soft noises and delicate arpeggios. Certainly this is fragile music, so delicate you can destroy it, if you are not able to handle it. Intimate and melodic, Hex is romantic but never silly. Fascinating dark atmospheres and splendid arrangements from a band that remembers David Sylvian and latest Talk Talk music. Hex is an incredible picture of modern art, a jewel to rediscover every time you listen to it.

Not sure it's a bootleg or not, but I must say I am impressed with this pressing and the artwork is absolutely perfect, very true to the original. This album has all the sounds at the right place for me. I only had a CD copy until now, which sounded much too crisp for me to enjoy it fully. So whoever is responsible for this, many thanks!
