Capella
Nice to hear Dave & Annie back together again; I like the solo work that each of them have put out, but the energy that the two create when together is much more substantial. With the exception of Annie's duet with Al Green ("Put A Little Love In Your Heart") from a few years back, the Eurythmics' individual projects have been produced flawlessly, as was the 'reunion' album, "Peace," but have lacked the duo's 'collective soul' for lack of a better phrase. "I've Got A Life" has the energy of earlier classics of Dave and Annie's like "Missionary Man" or "Would I Lie To You?" - songs that fuse pop, rock & soul - and on this release (with a little help from Kleinenberg) progressive house - without ever sounding forced or outdated. Reminds you that not all good bands just fade away - some of them fade back in, too.
