Picked up this from a thrift store in Birmingham, UK. The first side is a very uplifting recording of gospel music with great horn arrangements. The more contemplative, spiritual and slow tracks I think is where the album is at it's weakest, however they are well recorded. A great introduction for a gospel album for someone who is having a cursory glance at gospel music, the art work by Rick Sharp is beautiful and of it's time. I'd recommend a purchase of the gatefold for that alone, my girlfriend who pays little interest in my music loves this sleeve.

I had this L.P.I played it to death..It really was outstanding music,lyrics,arrangements etc..Madonna had this guy help her with "Like a Prayer"..He was also asked to play at the funeral of Michael Jackson,where he played a track that is now well-known "Soon and very soon " I think that some people would say that this track stands out from the others..I love it..but I think that the best track of the album(for me) must be "Perfect Peace"..Absolutely beautiful !! (He has passed away (like M.J.)and I am sure that both their musical legacy will be loved by many generations...).
