As the below reviewer states their are plenty of parts of this album which remind me of a 1992 Belgium sound or a progressive UK sound and not necessarily Detroit. Its not a bad album just more Euro than D in my opinion.

The final track 'Death Of Love' appears to be Thomas Barnett's attempt to leave a more explicit record of his part in creating Rhythim Is Rhythims's 'Nude Photo'. Most people assume (if they don't already know the truth) that the track was created solely by Derrick May (although in fact 'Nude Photo' does credit 'T. Barnett' too.) 'Death Of Love' is a much more orchestral version of 'Nude Photo' although it's still totally electronic and totally techno. It just makes a lot clearer that the main rhythmic synth line in 'Nude Photo' is in fact an imitation string line which is over-quantised. Overall this LP is showing it's age in 2004, which isn't to say that there aren't some great moments. Beware, it's surprisingly ravey (in a UK sense) for a Detroit techno album! If you see it, my advice is to have a listen. Thomas Barnett isn't a name most people think of when trying to recall important early Detroit techno producers. If you pick this up, you might just be helping to redeem a piece of almost forgotten history.
