Two years retrospectively, I think I can comment with some fair perspective: this to my ears contains possibly the best techno track I've heard Colin McBean produce for years: 'BNO 12/12' on the long side. No, I don't know what the title's getting at either. But as for the music itself: we have about 10 minutes of minimal, real-analogue synth sketching, with a meaty sub riff and a proto broken-techno drum pattern. There's also a murky sampled male voice which I've been listening to for two years and have just only deciphered recently: 'Peace & Love'. All together, the elements manage to create that spark of something jacking and jack-assed, cheeky, wigged-out and yet at the same time somewhat disconcertingly futuristic.
