This is probably left over stock from the original release. The gel sleeve version can split quite easily and I would be surprised if there weren't some that got damaged in shipping.

Very good album! I've always liked The Raveonettes and have followed them since their very first records came out. Very interesting band and good sound! I'm still pissed off that Jessica Hopper discounted them and said they sucked in her book called "The First Collection of Criticism by a Living Female Rock Critic". Complete bullshit! Raveonettes RULE and are better than most bands!!

Agree with DBMTB. I bought it when they first announced it, just because I love the Raveonettes and the description sounded super cool. The sleeve is neat idea but this thing annoys the hell out of me when I see it sitting on my shelf.

To complement my review of the transparent vinyl limited pressing of this....The sound on this pressing is huge. Been listening to the WAV version that came with the clear vinyl on a very high-end multi-format player that will also play back WAV files from a hard disc for some months. Just picked up the standard pressing yesterday and on first listening this is the version to buy,

This release is a little disappointing, especially compared to price. Sound quality of the pressing is vastly inferior to the standard black vinyl pressing. Not just a little bit. It's barely listenable. And the green gel in the liner just falls to the bottom if stored upright. Needs to be stored on its side - which is not conducive to display, which is surely the whole point of an item like this. Sorry Sune and Sharin. I love what you guys do... and if any band is super-sweet to its fans, it's you guys. But you don't need to do one of these for your next album. But to be fair... there is a WAV quality download that comes with it.Idea is great. But didn't come out so well in final execution.
