Bought on 1986. I don't know when it was exactly released.Yellow labels. Different matrix than the original as a "7" has been added.

The copy I owned many years ago came in an thick cardboard cover which was pasted on back. Labels were lemon yellow. Didn't see such a copy again. Copies sold since as original first pressings are all housed in an thin unipack single sleeve which is strange because all other US Epic covers from the same time period were manufactured in a most common way - of thick cardboard pasted on back, just like the copy I used to keep in my collection. Maybe that copy was a Canadian one (I do not recall any mentioning of Canada neither on cover or labels though)?Anyhow, there are Canadian pressings of US bands from the late sixties not included at Discogs' .Or it was the real, genuine US original first pressing, being so rare and elusive?

I suspect many of these listed sealed are the Scorpio issues from the 90s, which I noticed are not listed on the Scorpio discography page.

I used to have the Scorpio pressing, and it had (believe it or not) a "promotional" stamp visible on the back cover-- they scanned an old promo cover to make their new cover. I think they may have reissued it again with a better cover, but there should exist reissues from 1998 with a black promo stamp image as part of the printed art.

Gary Yoder went on to play in Blue Cheer, among other groups. This is certainly a very important LP to the evolution of the west coastand more specifically the bay area psychedelic rock sound."Electric Sailor" is an excellent composition. Very laid back and acid tingedvibes for sure. This was heavily booted in Europe in the late 80's, early 90's.

Is there in fact a reissue with the yellow label??? Or is it only the darker 80's label??
Nern
There is definitely a counterfeit pressing with the yellow epic label not listed here done the late 80s which is pretty well done and is still today sometimes offered as an original. The label has a darker yellow and the backcover shows a promo stamp copied from the original cover.

Anybody know of the quality of the pressing/sound on this?

Phenomenal piece of vinyl in wonderful cover. If you have any interest in psychedelic music you should try this!

I suspect this is a bootleg issue.

These were grey area represses from Scorpio Records in New York , they seemed to " have the rights " for all sorts of 60s and 70s Rock , Soul and Jazz Lps in the 90s . They're generally really good pressings this one sounds great
