This used to be a $200 record in houston back in the 80's. One of the all time best tracks of 80's Goth Wave. There was apparently a version in 1980. Found the guy who wrote it on myspace or something. He nearly had forgotten all about that period in his life. He responded saying there were tapes from 1980 with different versions.

I can remember this in the display case at New Beat Records in Houston as well as Record Rack. And of course, in the back of New Beat, there was drawers full of them so when someone would buy one, they would pull another one out and put it in.
