I am actually shocked because BCUK put their top1 track on A side and added a very jazzy and vibe-full track on B side perfectly adding the liquidfunk/jazzy dnb field.A very nice double-sided gem here. It's the same if you choose The Nine/Dogfight version, just the B side style is different: which you prefer in your set more - Dogfight is an aggressive furious roller, The Bridge is calm jazzy viby relaxing tune.BCUK all in all made a great job in 1998, no doubt.

Is the version with the jacket/label in red a repress? Mine is the original pressing and it's in a sleeve/label that's green.
Mr.Twister
The green one is a repress. It was released in 2001, whereas the red one with "The Bridge" on came out in 1998. https://www.discogs.com/BC-The-Nine-Dogfight/release/13346

Great tune of its time but my word has it been over rinsed. If there was ever a track that needed leaving at home then this is it, so many great forgotten tunes yet still this got played a few times a night for the next 10 years. For a track to go from mindblowing fresh to boring takes some doing but this is the case.Djs draw could draw for Titan, Friday, The One, Pulse, Alien girl or one of the many dancefloor destroying classics yet they all choose this. I think the fact everyone copied Andy c's method of mixing it made it even worse.

Whenever I see the number "9" somewhere, this tune always comes to my mind. Some prefer Alien Girl, some prefer Altitude, some prefer this one - classics of their respective time. Simple structure, bad, phat bass - it will eventually blow your mind up.B side is definitely less known and different. But when you have a perfect stomper on the other side, I mean, hello, the all-time best track of drum and bass according to several sources, you simply cannot expect more. One would say it is a try at "liquid funk" by BC in the late 90's. I think I'll be nuked by them bassheads after typing the next sentence, but deal is, I prefer The Bridge over The Nine if it comes to this release. It is a sad fact that I was only five when this was released.

thanks for the info ;)

Sorry for the late reply buddy, I've just read your reply.Altitude is Stakka & Skynet's signature track, released on their "Clockwork" album in 2001. Both the track (remixed to death from artists such as Fierce & Ryme Tyme, Break, Dom & Gridlok, Skynet himself) and the album are considered milestones in drum and bass; definitely check it out, it will NOT sound dated, believe me.By the way, Shogun Audio boss Friction deserves some credit as well, he took part in the making of Altitude as far as I know.

And the Altitude is by ? I mean who is the producer of the track ?

Best D&B track of all time. I have listened to 1,000s of D&B tracks in the last 2 weeks (recording my collection to digital), and of all of them, I can't deny that this is the strongest. The mix is stupid good; the bass impossibly fat, the drums orgasmic, the vibe BEAUTIFULLY DARK – all mixed to perfection. "The Nine" is genre defying too, as DJs of other genres all love it. The Nine. The Legend.

A true Drum n Bass classic of our time, one of the only tunes of its era which u can still count on hearing at any respectable rave. If only all BC releases could be this good.
Morlurne
A legendary dancefloor anthem! In its day you would have heard all the big names rinsing this one. It's addictive drum patterns and ominous growly basslines give this track its edge.
