Anyone who's interested in electronic music should own at least one MBM album, I think. They have brought so much influence, they helped to build acts such as Nine Nails Nails or The Chemical Brothers. This release reminds of the Front Line Assembly stuff but with more compact breakbeats, proof of their excellent production."Prime Audio Soup" has brought them some more recognization thanks to The Matrix. If the first half of the album is quite rhythmical, the second one is more structured and offer some calm moments like the 10-minute running "The Thumb".You won't regret your 72 minutes of listening. Let's have fun !

As this is MBM's glitchiest and most erratic album compared to those prior, for most it is difficult to grasp right away. That aside, there is no denying the pure musical genius displayed throughout. Dangers and the crew manage to combine live jazzy freestyling and loops with intense breakbeat industrial instrumentation, and of course plenty of record scratching and samples. The album takes an especially jazzy and ambient turn towards the end, with "Funny Feeling", "The Thumb", and "Wildlife", which give the impression that you are listening to a completely different record. In fact I would say "The Thumb" is one of the greatest songs by the band, ever. Overall, this may be a difficult listen at first, but give it a few listens and you will start to understand.

Jack Dangers pushes MBM's sound further with the addition of powerful live instrumentation and some dark jazz touches. Some songs irritate with grating, repetitive motifs, but most of the album succeeds with memorable songs, creepy atmospherics and dense, muscular production.
