I just did a completed items search on ebay for this and from the look of the photo it was clearly pressed on blue vinyl??! Is this ebay skullduggery?

This is nothing more than a promo CDr that you could have bought for the upcoming LP. It's really quite a brilliant marketing move. Market low run CDrs or cassettes as actual limited releases and then when no one can get them and demand is high enough, release the real LP with a lot of great hype behind it. Lot's of folks doing this now with the super low run cassettes to promote their digital Bandcamp EPs and albums. I really genuinely respect the enginuity of the marketing mind behind this move though because it really works.

For what it's worth mate,i think claypipe is doing fantastic work.my only regret is that i didn't buy the 'barn owl' version because i was skint.having said that i bought a spare of the original press.definitely in my top five albums of 2013.good work my friend,in fact,i think I'll go listen to it right now!!

Wow I really wish I was as clever at marketing as you think - Clay Pipe started as a way for me to experiment with print making and extra curricular illustration. The CDs are limited just because there is so much work involved, high volumes are impossible. After I did the Shapwick CD lots of people asked for vinyl, it actually hadn't occurred to me. Now I think vinyl works for my label when higher volumes are needed and I'd like to do more in the future.

This masterpiece is getting a repress due the end of May so save yourself some wedge and get it then if you missed out first time.

The Clay Pipe Music website advises that this may see a vinyl release, so if we all pray *really* hard (even though we don't believe in any kind of god), it may just happen. Oh, and if you email Frances Castle ([email protected]) as well that might help :0)
