Seems more likely a 20th Century rather than Private Stock release. Might have been a maverick issue by Bob Crew/20th C which could not be issued, noting Valli was already recording for PS and that PS only issued it two years later (as 5101) after the Walter Murphy (as 5100). The label ironically is a mirror image of same-dated promos issued by 20th C, yet lacking a number and the record company's name, for what appear to be obvious reasons. I'd list it in a 20th C rather than PS discography. Kase/Mikeyd: Whaddya think?

Nope... Private Stock. See image of the cover which came with some copies of this 12". They have a rubber-stamped Private Stock logo. The undeniable similarities to the early 20th Century 12" promos can only be attributed to Bob Crewe's involvement as producer.

My one has a hand written sleeve from Bob Crewe with Full Unedited Version written on it. With UN Edited Underlined, AND a small sticker "625" on it too. Supposedly from Larry Levan's Disco pool list from Frankii's manager in 1975 with a note asking for "crowd reaction and possibilty ? " Although the person i received this from said the seventies were a bit of a blur. However he had ; 30 records signed by artists with love to him written on them ! All , love to Larry , love to Tom , Love from etc . . . .

I also heard that THIS, or Swampp Dogg (1973) or Double Exposure - 10% were the first . I think maybe Natural Order - Jealousy , 1975 gets it personally . . . . . . .
showtime
Many original disco dj's and record pool members have said there was a 10" test pressing of Swearin' To God as well....although no one was able to produce a copy for documentation........
Gardataur
Many experts credit this as being the first ever Promotional 12 inch single back in 1975....
