There are stepping stones for every band. Karl Hyde has an amazing vocal ability in each incarnation of whatever he does musically. Freur included. Great memories.

I happen to disagree with the review before me. I think Freur had some good and eclectic music, which seemed unique and different. Doot-Doot was their best LP, but this one is good as well. I will say, it's hard to find, but the re-issue is due out on October 20, 2009. I'm looking forward to it. Rumors as well on a reunion, from what I have read. :-)
one life
Most people don't realize that Freur is Karl Hyde and Rick Smith (plus some other Flock Of Seagulls wannabe's) first 80's synth pop band. Yes, this is Underworld before the addition of Darren Emerson. Yes this is horrible music, kind of funny actually if you think of where Underworld came from. So be warned. Interesting side note, Freur was the first group to actually use a unpronounceable symbol for their name.
