The 80s have never died, and here comes the DMX Krew to remind you of that fact with WAVE. "Tonight" has a definite synth-pop vibe going for it, while "The Fallen Kings" goes darker, like a futuristic noir soundtrack. In a unique twist, "William The Conqueror" gives a short, danceable history lesson, while "Echelon" sends a funky warning. "The Pleasure Zone" almost sounds like proto-dubstep and "Quantum Logic" dips into Detroit techno. Meanwhile, "Feynman Radio" almost sounds like a Scottish ditty, as reinterpreted by a sad Moog, The bonus disc, OUR MOST REQUESTED RECORDS, gives a short overview of DMX Krew's output, including the neon-bright 80s pop of "17 Ways to Break My Heart" and "You Can't Hide Your Dub" to the pure electro joy of "Dance to the Beat," "Adrenalin Flow," and "Bonkers Goes Back to School" or the house of "Good Ol' Daze." Even acid house gets a Japanese language shout-out in "Denki No Merodi." A nice contrast to hear a then-and-now DMX Krew.

The Tracks on CD1 are different from what i've heard of DMX Krew. He has always used vocals (listen to Disc2) but this time it's just not like the years before. And i like it. They are mature but playful at the same time. Experimental indeed. Great release. And just look at the cover - i mean, isn't it the most awesome CD Cover you've ever seen?
