German problem child Mootz proves as adept at crafting music out of silence as he does noise - his M2 project taking cues from early KLF recordings, with more than a nod towards current innovators such as Murcof. Kopyright Liberation (the K and L in KLF) is a micro-album of micro-sounds - fuzzes and glitches, bleeps and crackles occupy the same empty void as disembodied voices and the far away sound of traffic. Uneasy listening for the aurally discerning, M2 provide a dark, spacious remedy to the noisey, idiosyncratic, confused music cluttering our record stores.
