An amazing masterpiece Empire made while on tour with Atari Teenage Riot, that makes it extra special in my view! It's a timeless classic , worthy of every electronic music collection, simply a must have !
Doomblade
Hands down one of the best electronic albums ever. Wikipedia incorrectly states that the album was recorded with a laptop only. Empire recently told that it was made with an MPC, TR 808, TB 303, SH 101 etc.
Gtonydne
This album was recorded live in Iceland to accompany a movie by German film director Philip Reichenheim.
Gela
Too abstract for me compared to similar works of his from this era. Pass.
Vivaral
This album is from beginning to the end cold! really cold. And the dub makes this so deep too. I remember after years Alec Empire made a speech when mentioning this album that: You feel like stuck in a deep hole in ice and when you look up to the sky from the hole you start freezing slowly... That is the best explanation for that album.
Kieel
Absolutely Massive !!
Gravelblade
A timeless classic! Morbid like a heroin drug movie soundtrack and deep like the icewalls of iceland! Some tracks (20(1), 20(2)) seems to only consist of reverbed soundscape while others (low on ice) require a decent subwoofer turned up to loud to fully enjoy those low frequencies.
