The information provided on the back of the CD is not accurate. Tracks 1-12 are not of soundboard quality and consist of audience recordings (the quality is passable) of two different shows:1) Tracks 1-10 were recorded at The Southend On Sea Technical College on November 14th, 1980.2) Tracks #11, 12 (Tomorrow's Dance, Reason Man) are sourced from an earlier show at the Bridgehouse, London, on October 30th, 1980.3) Tracks 13-18 are indeed of soundboard quality and taken from the recording of half of the concert at the Paradiso, Amsterdam on September 26th, 1981 (not June 29th as stated in the CD) The half of the show was recorded and broadcasted by VPRO Radio. I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead and What's Your Name? were also included in the broadcast but didn’t make it onto this CD.some additional information about the included shows courtesy of depechemode-live.com ==== The Southend On Sea Technical College. November 14th 1980 ===This is the second earliest non-fake circulating recording of Depeche Mode (first is 1980-10-30 Bridgehouse, London, England, UK). I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead is quite different from future live versions. Many other songs also have different drums or synths, so this short recording is worth a listen if you haven't heard it yet. This recording is currently the only source for the track Addiction, sometimes referred to as "Closer", "Closer All The Time", or "Ghost Of Modern Time". This concert:- is the 16th concert with Dave Gahan in the band, - is the 8th concert under the name "Depeche Mode"- is the 1st performance of Just Can't Get Enough, with a different intro and melody. Dave dedicates the track to Jo, his girlfriend at the time.==== the Bridgehouse, London, October 30th, 1980 ===This is the earliest genuine recording of Depeche Mode that is currently circulating, and it is also the earliest of two recordings currently circulating from the 1980 Tour. The other recording is 1980-11-14 Technical College, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, England, UK. This concert was: - the 16th concert of Depeche Mode / Composition Of Sound- the 13th concert with Dave Gahan in the band- the 5th concert under the name "Depeche Mode"- the 4th concert at the Bridge HouseIncluded in the setlist are two tracks which were only performed during Depeche Mode's 1980 tour: Tomorrow's Dance and Reason Man. It is assumed Vince Clarke wrote these tracks, but that has not been confirmed.

In fact, I Sometimes Wish I was dead is one of the songs from the Paradiso show, instead of the misprinted No Disco on sleeve. The six songs from Paradiso a real treasure with crystal soundboard quality. The takes from the Southend on Sea Technical College and Bridgehouse are in rather poor quality, but the rare versions of the unreleased Reason Man, Tomorrows Dance, Televison Set and in particular Addiction makes this all together one of the most important (and rare) DM objects.
