The 1994 final full length album from Dive is a mini masterpiece and showcases the singular, otherworldly, ethereal voice of the great Krister Linder. The soundstage is huge on track three, the standout anthem, "Ultralight Lovegun", with chiming, Edge-style guitar, propulsive bass/drumming and soaring vocals - absolutely spine tingling. Following that is the ultradeep, dub track "Coming On Strong". After hearing Linder's solo voce homage to Bob Marley, "Freedom Song", it's clear where Linder's love of reggae comes from. The rest of the album is filled with gems of various styles that fit together in a tight song cycle. For those of you who are fans of Linder's "Songs From the Silent Years", this album is absolutely essential. 5 stars.
