Really good LP, serious job, Kuba is good, no words !

Anyone know if the green/blue vinyl versions suffer from the same quality issues as the normal version?

Thank you for the VITAL information. The Album is amazing but there is no point to purchase it if the sound quality is crap. SHAME on Mathematics !!!

I would still say it's worthwhile to get the vinyl. It's a beautiful album--just a tad off with the pressing. The outside tracks sound good enough. I'd still play it over a system on the strengeth of the tunes alone.

Super flat pressing on the vinyl edition, sounds sort of muffled, can't imagine it being possible to play this over a decent sound system. I appreciate that Mathematics often go for a 'raw' sound but couldn't the actual records still be well mastered and pressed? Same issues with the John Heckle LP that came out around the same time. Frustrating.

This is a fantastic, well-rounded album. Side B is particularly strong, with two expertly-crafted jazzy deep house tunes. Other tracks are more techno flavored which are quite good as well, particularly, "Metropolis". Kuba Sojka obviously has a deep passion for techno and house music and an original, soulful voice. My only qualm with this release is the actual quality of the pressing which leaves something to be desired. The discs are a little quiet and have some audible pressing flaws. Also, my copies are quite a bit off-center--the disc is not exactly centered when set down on the turntable platter meaning the spindle-hole wasn't placed quite in the middle when pressing resulting in subtle variations in pitch as the discs spin especially as the tracks run closer toward the center. I've seen problems like this with other Mathematics releases as well which is a bummer. It reminds me of old Trax label releases with all their "charming" quality issues. The Chicago tradition continues?

Wow. Release Date June 2011? I haven't expected that kind of music on a record any more. From Downtempo over Deep House to Acid and Detroit sounds, some vocals, pianos, strings, brass, some echoes, dub, bass, everything is there, but in a mellow, effortless mood. Very unlike most recent releases that try to construct some "hybrid" Tech House sound but often fail because they are far too repetitive or fussy (and soulless ...). Here every single melody, groove and hi-hat is in its place. You can chill and you can dance to the music. It is housy and it is underground. What more could you want?
