Tracks 1 to 4: recorded in 1969 and unavailable until the Japanese "Gettin' Smile" bootleg from 1982;
Tracks 2 to 6: mono recordings;
Tracks 2 & 4: listed as written by "Smile" - whereas other sources cite Roger Taylor and Brian May, respectively, as composers;
Tracks 5 & 6: taken from the only official Smile 7-inch, released in the USA only as a promo;
Tracks 7 & 8: experimental recordings by Robin Cable from 1972 (featuring Freddie, Brian, and Roger only) and released as a 7-inch single in 1973;
Track 9: recorded in 1973 - but not released until 1991 when it appeared on the "Headlong" single;
Track 10: B-side of the "Seven Seas of Rhye" single;
Track 11: billed as a demo but actually a "Sheer Heart Attack" album track;
Track 12: B-side of the "Play the game" single;
Track 13: B-side of the "Under Pressure" single;
