This album is very similar in style (and even cover art) to his previous album (the self-titled Burt Bacharach). There are no songs here that I recognised prior to listening, which may be an indication of its commercial success (or lack thereof). Surprisingly, mainly because my expectations were so low, I didn't mind listening to this album and found the arrangements, though mellow, a little bit more creative than the previous album, with orchestral flourishes in some of the songs that would point to his next album "Woman"
