Few know what the Music Box really stood for and this release attempts to further insight the consumer of Rare-Groove, Rare-Disco and Underground- House of what was explored musically in those clubs. The full spectrum of what the Music Box set out to do is well represented here. From Throbbing Gristle to Klein & MBO next to Alexander Robotnick's "Problems D'Amour", New Wave and Italo were the perfect compliments to many R&B releases of the day (most notably: Larry Levan, Patrick Adams, Francois K. and Tee Scott mixes). The inclusion of Queen's "Body Language" highlights the risks and original ideas that Ron Hardy implemented to futher open the minds of the listener while surrounded by Dj technique and a massive sound system. Aside from a great selection of music, the mastering on this 12" is above standard and worth a very loud play indeed. Enjoy this record with an inclusive attitude and take risks of your own to set a new precedent just as these DJ's have with such music that was available to them. CuriousYellow-2004
