Notes

Limited to 2000 overall.
First 1000 with Yellow/Black label, 800 Black, 200 Clear Red, sleeves of the first 200 also contained black marker graffiti done by Merck staff/artists.
Second 1000 with full color label, 500 Black, 500 Red/White Marble.
The Brothomstates track, although titled the same as the Squadron CD track, is in fact a different and more aggressive remix of the CD version.

One of the first EPs that launched the Merck sound and typical of the high level of detail Merck put into their early vinyl. Mainly downbeat mashup, sometimes serious & sometimes cute. First press artwork matches the sound but was changed for the repress (did they lose the original?). The first 200 or so with the black marker graffiti was a cool idea, but Gabe told me the record shops sometimes returned them so that idea was axed. Essential for the Brothomstates remix which is exclusive to this cut. The track has quite a harsh, unforgettable intro that progresses into melody. The rest of the tracks are fantastic, so this is probably Merck's best compilation vinyl.

The Brothomstates track ("24101999") differs from the original track on Squadron (MERCK002). It's actually much more fierce and aggressive, and never fails to stimulate my brain in unknown and powerful ways, Devastating, Untouchable, Priceless.
