A weird release even by Astralasia's standards. It's pretty abstract - sort of along the lines of the Orb's mid-90s releases, with dark atmospheres, random piano doodling, voices drifting in and out, synth improvisation, moments of darkness and moments of beauty. Not always the most relaxing kind of ambient but it's definitely very spacial and trippy. While both tracks are fairly similar, about 14 minutes into Inbound the abstraction is suddenly replaced by a deep, piano-driven dub track... nice and lush. Then a few minutes later it's back to drones and swirling effects. This complete change in tone characterizes this LP: you're in for a flow of thought, rules-be-damned kind of ride.
