The official title is the 'Eternal E.P.' released, as you're probably aware, on Radge Records and recorded at 'The Chill on the Hill'. I don't have any more detailed info unfortunately but check out 'CyrusDigit's' comments on youtube at the follwing URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP6vAXGqDyg&feature=related. He must be an oldskool mate of Geoff's who, by the sound of it, was either part of the band or the label!!! A bit of trivia for you, Geoff told me that he built a 'talk-box' in order to create the then, unusual and reasonably futuristic sounding vocal, which is performed by him. Although talk-boxes were used in the '80's (check out Zapp and Roger troutman) they weren't really commonplace which is why, I feel, the vocal has such a distinctive quality. After performing a number of gigs with the talk-box tube jammed into the side of his mouth and gripped between his molars, Geoff lost a tooth and called it a day with that particular vocal style. I can't really tell you much more than that coz I lost contact with him mid-noughties and haven't been able to track him down since! Hope that's of some interest to you. I totally agree, by the way. I think the 'Eternal E.P. deserves major plaudits and credit for being on of the most chilled, ambient techno/acid tunes of all time!!!

G.F.X. was the brainchild of Geoff Waterston, later of Orgon Systems, an analogue synth manufacturer based in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. I too have a copy of the ep which I'm reliably informed (by Geoff, a mate) was released in Autumn 1990. Hope this helps anyone.

Unfortunately not! Sorry! I haven’t seen him for over 10 years!

I have just bought this record, on the review mentioned on this release it really is a Gem of an EP. One thing is though, Its actually this record >> http://www.discogs.com/GFX-Eternal-Ep/release/512095My copy has the RR 001 scratched out of it and replaced with RR 1001 & on my sleeve has all the details of who is behind this extremely obscure EP, and to date its G.F.X. only release. Also on the sleeve printed on the bottom corner is 10/90. I don't know if this was the release date or number of copies that were made. Still if you like your obscure then defiantly grab a copy, I can only see this record getting rarer and rarer in years to come.
