DOOXS is an amorphous, ever-evolving project.Formed last year by Rotterdam-based singer and songwriter Djoeke and producer Aniek, the pair push each other into fresh spaces, exploring new ideas in the process.New EP 'Under My Tongue' is out today (November 25th, purchase LINK) and it's an intoxicating, bewitching slice of artful pop with an electronic flourish.At times haunting, at others blissful and upbeat, the EP shifts through several different moods, levels, and chapters.DOOXS explain: “This EP was entirely created by ourselves and we are extremely proud of it. We started working with each other only in August 2015, so it has all happened pretty fast. The lyrics deal with topics as vulnerability and intimacy and are quite visually oriented. The production is a mixture of downtempo genres like hip-hop, dub and trap and relying heavily on the editing of Djoeke’s vocals and mashing them into synths and background textures. Our musical inspirations include Clams Casino, Andy Stott, Balam Acab, Nosaj Thing, 18+ and Fever Ray.”
