OTANO
One of the best electro-mood set of songs ever ! Is that a definition of a separate genre of music? I do believe so. Starting with the TV zombie death-dance of 'Awake And Watching', this album pulls you into a world vision that grips your mind and shakes you and refuses to let go. Just look around you - 'Perfect Stranger' is just that, something you love but you don't need. '15 Minutes', a song of yearning to be recognized because you understand what it's all about. Or do you? 'Head****' is the explanation, 'you never know where you are with me'. Stunning. 'Whirlpool', my personal favorite, wonders why you join this rat-race of a world every day when you condemn it at the same time. It has to end sometime, and it does with 'What A World', a song of despair so bleak, so doom-laden, you best give up. 'I asked you here to this rat-hole world' Such an apt description of a world eternal, and one of the most timeless albums ever made.

The singer has great voice and writes clever lyrics (eg: "I want to make love to the mona lisa, because I know that's what she's smiling for" - 15 minutes). The album's (or the band's) only weakness is that they use the same synth sound on every song.
