"Yes and no," I would say. I have both tunes on vinyl, and they are not identical. Yes, the main dark synth/melody is similar, but even then, it's not exactly the same. Plus, the overall sound of "Trippin Out" is much more plodding and chugging in tone, whereas Trance & Acid has a bit more of that late '90s hard trance groove and bassline.So for me, the tracks are sort of "apples and oranges," even if the comparison is understandable. And anyway, I personally find "Pure Acid" to be the more interesting tune on this release.

This is definitely the hardest track, released under the name "Kai Tracid". Hard bassline, mad acid and one of the best melodies of this young century. "Trance & Acid" was one of the first Kai Tracid releases I ever heard and it's still one of the best. "Pure Acid" is not my cup of tea. The acid lines are not as rough as known and sometimes they are a bit noisy. I can't hear this tune very loud. It has more similarities with early acid tracks than with modern Kai Tracid releases.
