This is the last piece of the perfect Crystal Method puzzle, the fourth member of what I call "The Crystal Musketeers" composed of "Vegas", "Tweekend", "Legion Of Boom", and therefore this first "Community Service".It's from 2002, though the breakbeat style from the nineties is still fully present.Consequently, the ENTIRE CD is superb, from the huge beats of "No Soul" to "The Red Pill" (except maybe for the Koma + Bones remix of "Murder").But my biggest goosebumps come with my number one "Dude In The Moon", secondly with the classic Wall Of Sound track "Trickshot" from Ceasefire, thirdly with the pace of "Hold Back", then with the remix of "Wild, Sweet & Cool" and, to finish, "No Soul" (I just adore this combination of melody and beats). As a result, each time you listen to it, the next 74 minutes are some of the best of your life.I won't recommend this electronic treasure enough, though I can't say the same thing for the second opus of "Community Service" from 2005 (as well as all their following records). In order to finish, I will quote some albums from artists which are featured in this tremendous mix :- Ils : Idiots Behind The Wheel- Evil Nine : We Can Be Special Too- Dastrix : none studio album, but particularly the soundtrack of NFS 3, 4 and 5- Orbital : In Sides (Warning, this is not breakbeat/big beat !)- Hybrid : Wide Angle- Elite Force (Simon Shackleton) : check out Lunatic Calm.

Too bad the Rage Against The Machine - Renegades Of Funk track was left off of this release. They did a good job remixing it.

this is a classic compilation in big beat but I don't get why it took them until 02 to make one. they could've made one during the late 90's, around that period.
