A pretty good pack all round; even (shock horror) parts of the happy hardcore sets are actually listenable, although they all descend into the usual cheesy-synth-and-horrid-pop-vocal-sample nonsense eventually!The best sets on here are definitely the D&B tapes, unsurprisingly. The Mark EG set is ok, but it was far better live than on tape - that room was really going off while I was in there! Disappointingly, only half an hour is included.I also wish they had included some proper back-to-the-80s oldskool from the Jenkins Lane Reunion room, but such is life... you can't have it all. Not on an 8-tape pack, anyway ;)I had hoped that I'd hear the bit where the MC goes "hands up who thinks Mark EG's a nutter!" a few seconds after I'd walked into that particular room during Mark EG's set, but it's not on here. Though some of the MCing elsewhere is quite funny at times - like the bit when one of the MCs says "If you need some more pills, then see my mate Dave!" :DHahahaha! Now THAT'S just how I remember The Drome: as a proper underground venue - before the body scanners, before the drug "sin bins" on the door, and before the nightclub-style "proper dancefloors" signalled the beginning of the end of this once-great venue.
