In retrospect, having listened to the album over 60 times, I've reached the following conclusions:1. It is very uneven stylistically. Rock, disco, techno sylings, etc. It's all over the place, and there are some clunkers on it.2. Contrary to popular belief, not mixed well. Seriously over-boomy in the low end dept, and a bit over compressed in mastering.3. I personally wish Nile Rodgers were on more than just 3 tracks. I want more disco. "Lose yourself to Dance" really needed to be developed more. As it stands, it seems unfinished. (I actually added synth parts to it and posted it to soundcloud...check it out)4. For Daft Punk being synth dudes, the tones on the album are far from compelling. They are quite generic, in fact. (I may be splitting hairs here, but I expect better sound design from these guys)All in all, as far as MAINSTREAM music goes, I would take this LP over 99% of the fodder out there, hands down.
