On the Anson is a stone cold classic, no doubt.

Underrated in my opinion "On the anson" is a serious roller; dark synths and a wicked break with some sinister atmospherics. I admit it's kind of an unorthodox break pattern; maybe to some ears it just dosn't sound good, but after the first drop comes in with those rolling synths, it all adds up to a very dark and energetic track. Though rather simplistic in production, it's quite a unique tune. don't pass this one up if you ever find it anywhere: you just may find you like it as much as I do. "Into the Light" on the flip is nothing special though, just some ordinary sounding dnb.

OK with U about the A-side but IT HAPPENS the flip "Into the light" still seems an ignored gem ... Goldie would never allow weak B-sides (MTLHDZ ' policy since the beginning) hence not a scoop if those quality standards tend to make double A-sides out of the best releases :)"Into the light" should be considered among their best deep stuff, in my opinion, along with "Orion" (L Plates Vol. # 5) and "Time travel" from J Majik's "Infrastructure" comp' (under the moniker Accidental Heroes). I remember mixing it with some D-Bridge (his Exit stuff back in the days) , it worked fine !PEACE

i agree with everything he says here. love "on the anson" ever since i first heard bailey playing it. an absolute banger. the b-side, not so much...
