What is the matrix for the LP? It seem unlikely that Grundman would recut the lacquers that is protege Chris Bellman cut for the 45th anniversary edition.

My EU version reads RRI-74013A 0603497862634 3H99264 -07 A BG on the first side. I also have the EU Rhino version and its first side reads RI-74013-A CB Z00700.1(3)... BC95089-01 A

Does anyone know where the vinyl in the EU edition was pressed?

Ok let me understand this Bruce Botnick before this box was released was pleading with whoever had the 8 track tapes of Forever Changes to just lend the tapes to copy to make a new mix. How did STEVE HOFFMAN make these new alternate mixes on disc 3 and what year. Does Mr. Hoffman have the tapes. Who else would ? How much you want to make a bet he does and how. If he does have them he can make a new 2018 mix and have them anonymously sent in. Because something is fishy here.

Hoffman doesn't have the multi-tracks. There's a post on his forum where he expands that he mastered (NOT mixed) the alternate version from a cassette of alt mixes that he was given by an industry insider many years ago. That first came out on the second disc of the 40th anniversary edition in 2008. Disc 3 here is exactly the same master.Edit: the backstory, in Steve Hoffman's own words is here: http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/50-years-of-love-arthur-lee-da-capo-forever-changes-love-more-album-by-album-thread.510620/page-11#post-14131029

The reason that makes me buy another copy of this reissue is to finall listen to the mono mix. But just on CD... that sucks. Who knows why they cared so little about the mono version? Let's just hope for a quality reissue here!
Uste
There was no mono mix of Forever Changes. All "mono" pressings are fold-downs of the stereo

FOR EVERYBODY ( Big Boys included ):How many reissues of this ( GREAT ) record do we really need ? It does look like big boys / labels are scraping to the verybottom of a barrel, doesn't it ?This time it's 50 year edition, next time so many years from whatever, and the story goes on...Somebody's getting rich in this process, who might it be ?One guess - it's not customers, for shure !
