DOOM (previously MF Doom) is a mysterious man who goes by many names (Viktor Vaughn, King Geedorah, Metal Fingers, Metal Face) and has been at the heart of hip-hop since the early 1990′s. His work has been unfalteringly amazing (up until his last album that is), and it’s extremely hard to dislike his smooth delivery and witty lyrics. His production skills are almost on par with his rapping skills; no easy feat considering his talent as an emcee. He has collaborated with producer Madlib to form Madvillain, a duo who positively must produce another album. He has also collaborated with Danger Mouse (of Gnarls Barkley) and Adult Swim to produce an Adult Swim based album, and yes, it is just as fantastic and quirky as it sounds. In short, DOOM is my favorite Emcee, and this album will give you a good sampling of what he’s all about. Take Me to Your Leader is a combination of weird-ass old samples, snippets of racist humor, and mellow rhymes, which Doom pieces together in the context of a low-budget sci-fi horror film. As strange and esoteric as it sounds, DOOM makes it work. Go figure.http://keepinmusicclassy.com

"You should listen to the album for what it is and not expect it to be like the average "Rap" stuff you’re probably used to," Doom explains. "Geedorah is a space monster. He's not from the Earth. I made it different on purpose. A blend of ill lyrics and instrumentals. To me its way iller than any of the wack shit out now." "This whole album is Geedorah's alien perspective on humans," he explains. "This is done intentionally to show the listener a mirror image of his/herself and the way we see each other. On the album we cover different subjects ranging from race issues to the neglect of children. Some might find the word "Nigger" offensive, or the line about the young girl not being able to read maybe considered a "bad taste" joke. All these insecurities are within us."
