This is a record worth its salt- The original sounds authentic & full, like a beautiful Jazz oldie- you can here the room on the record (or so it seems ;) & its extremely authentic in its presentation. Flip to Kyle Halls remix and the purpose of this release is cemented- his output has been varied, his progression can be seen & admired from track to track- but this is really special. Perfect ground between his undeniable musical/technical skill & his grass roots- Jazz & techno, soft & hard, sweet n sour, night & day- this is a sweet combination of some of the many ingredients that justify his ever growing complexities & popularity. I heard him mention Bugz in the Attic in a recent interview- I'm sure on the broken scene this would have made perfect sense. Quite removed from 'that Detroit sound' (these cats don't just bang like that 24/7, thats an industry thing)- this is a superb piece of music.
