Lahorns Gods
Intriguing album of fairly hard-to-listen-to avant anti-pop. The songs seem half-formed.... like snippets. The previous EP Spoonfed and Writhing didn't have any audio content by Danielle Dax (she designed the sleeve). On this album she provides most of the vocals and co-wrote all the songs (and designed the sleeve). I like it - but it doesn't get listened to that often. A curious artifact from the dying days of post-punk.... when everything seemed possible but, in the end, the music didn't move forward into the '80s like it should have done.

Hello Bradx, apologies for intruding the review section here but do you have some e-mail where you can be reached? Thank you.

Yes, I revise my opinion somewhat as I listened quite carefully again recently and thought it played much better.P.V.S and Up In Arms, two great tracks. The fact I have had this album since release and I'm still plumbing its depths says something about it.How I wish more avant post-punk like this had been continued into the 80s.

Seems underrated. So creative, quirky and unique. A 5 star record from my perspective. Completely brilliant work.
