Please check out the various Fania Records label variations at: http://www.cvinyl.com/labelguides/fania.php and you will see that THIS LABEL VARIATION SHOWN HERE is actually a mid 1970's Reissue of the 1968 Gold Label release! A ya tu!The 1968 original was released on Fanias Gold label. At the time of this release, Louie was still under contract with some other Label, so in order to not get into any legal contractual conflicts, Fania decided to use the name of Ali Baba instead of Louie Ramirez on the front cover. I don't remember if Louie Ramirez was credited on that Gold label since I sold my last original over 10 years ago. But the Repress releases here were made on Fanias 1st Cloud label variation, and were released in either 1971, or 1972.

Louie Ramirez - what not to like about him and his music?!! One of the finest composers and arrangers of salsa music of all time! This album comes in punches of boogaloos and hard hitting salsa tracks. They are so good that you didn't realize it comes to an end until Louie saying so in the recording! This is one of my favourite albums from Mr. Louie Ramirez and I am quite content to have it part of my collection. Strongly recommended.
