UK/Detroit techno done exceedingly welll. Has a 90's techno feel with a sound that would't feel out of place from Warp's classic Ai series . If you liked the days of home 90's listening techno from artist like B12, Beaumont Hannet, The Black Dog, Hi-Ryze..etc; then this should be added to your collection!
Steel balls
Superb Detroit-inflected IDM/techno that recalls classic 90s Black Dog, B12, early John Beltran, etc. Seems to have slipped under the radar of even the most discerning listeners this year, but it's one of 2015's best: beautifully-executed sound-design, lush, immaculately-sculpted rhythm programming, and all manners of irising, telescoping synths that were staples of eras gone by but are begging to be further revisited. Lake People renders the old new again, in spades. A sublime classic.
