Any other thoughts on how this pressing sounds? I've read the CD version sounds better then the vinyl.

While I agree that this rainbow of colors thing kind of cheapens the persona of the group I'd like to see whoever it is in the QC dept. pay a little closer attention to the test pressings. I have seen (and heard) much better quality come from micro labels with relatively unknown bands. Truly one of the shitiest pressings I have ever heard, and I'm looking at over 2000 LP's.

I think it might be a limited edition,there probably FUCKING with fans so they don't buy it. Like D.R.I. they say the same thing they don't know how many were made. So I buy the black one first always.

No idea why the black is listed as a Limited Edition. I cant help you there.

what Nuclear Blast does is once a limited number sells out, lets say Repentless Silver vinyl, they ship it out but if someone returns it due to corner dents or whatever they post it back up for sale. they due this as long as it isn't opened and the damage isn't that bad. that is why once it sells out i never buy it if it pops back up for sale. there was a couple times i did buy it and i got a record with dented corners/creased cover

i agree with you. i think there is like 17 different colors for Slayer Repentless on vinyl. Now Anthrax is next. I pre-ordered the Pic disc /cd boxset, the blue vinyl, yellow vinyl & clear. that is all. i shouldn't have ordered as much as i did. but when their last album Worship Music came out they had way too many vinyl versions. now this new slayer album takes the cake for sure. all of us fans need to stop buying all these reissues and they will stop doing all this for sure. now have you seen all the new show no mercy, haunting, live undead & hell awaits reissues they have for pre-order? i'm not getting any of them. Metal Blade has been reprinting these 4 albums every year for the last few years with all these colors. it is bullshit. now nuclear blast is doing it. they are milking the hell out of slayer.

Far too Many! And Yesterday the Silver Vinyl was for sale on NB Europe page, has now gone, but the Splatter one is now back up! I thought these had all sold out...NB is turning in to a Joke, having Slayer on there roster is just a license to print money...There will be more pressings too come..Why Didn't they do hand numbered editions? They have seem to have gone now and some horrible new logo and sticker...No Bronze Records or Limited Copies through Napalm Records....Anthrax is next...how will they milk that release as well...Oh and now repressing the Early records again...more Colours etc its a joke this is why i have stopped collecting
